Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for Health Information Technology, for Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) awards 5-year contract to AMDEX Corporation

AMDEX was awarded the CONNECT contract with Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for Health Information Technology for the Department of Health and Human Services. This contract assists The Federal Health Architecture (FHA) with their vision to have an effective health information exchange (HIE). FHA has worked with more than 20 Federal agencies that include the Department of Health & Human Services, Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Social Security Administration to turn their collective vision of interoperable health IT into a reality. The ONC and FHA are at the forefront of the nation’s health IT efforts, promoting a nationwide health information exchange to improve health care effectiveness and cost efficiency.

This contract includes ongoing operations and maintenance of the CONNECT System. CONNECT is recognized as an eHealth Exchange Validation System.

AMDEX is responsible for:

  • Software development and enhancements
  • Systems integration and implementation
  • Helpdesk services
  • Testing and training
