AMDEX Wins Contract with Department of Commerce (DOC)

AMDEX to Provide Program Management, Web Development, and Acquisition Support to the DOC, Office of Acquisition Management

The Department of Commerce (DOC) has selected AMDEX to provide program management and full web development and operational support for the Department of Commerce Acquisition Process Guide (APG) Website, Office of Acquisition Management (OAM) Webpage and Procurement Policy Support Services. This three-year contract includes content management, web interface management, website maintenance, acquisition support, and help desk support.

AMDEX will work with the members of the OAM APG Team comprised of representatives from OAM, the Office of the Secretary, NIST, NOAA, USPTO and Census to implement and maintain a Departmental acquisition web site that is easy to use with up-to-date information for program and acquisition staff. Leveraging CMMI Level 3 best practices, AMDEX will apply well-defined and repeatable processes throughout the development and maintenance of the website resulting in better performance, continual process improvement, on-time delivery, and higher quality products.

The development of the Acquisition Process Guide (APG) requires continual updates to maintain an accurate and responsive site. AMDEX is responsible for incorporating new policies, procedures, and best practices into the APG content and web architecture. AMDEX’s web developers will provide a continuously updated single interface that combines all applicable regulations and policy with recommended templates, guidance, and references.

AMDEX is also providing acquisition expertise to develop and implement a comprehensive program for regulatory, policy and related Federal acquisition guidance and to interpret new acquisition guidance and the effect on the APG.
