The Public Health Analyst should have an understanding of public health research, including the content of research reports as well as the information needs of health researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and other public health partners.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct quality analysis of Occupations Safety and Health (OSH) legislative summaries
  • Coordinate data preparation for reports
  • Generate data from OSH Policy data sources
  • Review and analyze state and global data, including Medicaid data, state funding data, and legislative data
  • Respond to inquiries on state legislative data
Basic Qualifications:
  • Master of Public Health degree
  • Experience working with policy and legislation
  • Experience working with large volumes of data
  • Experience documenting and developing protocol manuals
  • Ability to manage data and report those data as part of multiple high priority, high visibility projects within the agency and with external agency partners
  • Ability to communicate scientific and/or technical information to non-scientific, non-technical individuals
  • Experience working in a government contracting environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative and approachable demeanor
  • Collaborate among various internal and external sources to gather data promptly and accurately
