Project Management Specialist- IT Projects (Multiple Positions) - E1049

Provide Project Management support on assigned CQA IT projects, working closely with the other project teams, SE&I, OIS, etc. Follow the eSDLC process and work with the teams to develop all required artifacts. Multiple positions available for Project Managers

Ensure successful integration to meet the business requirements and project schedule. Facilitate and support decision making on mission-sponsored technology, information sharing programs, and issues. Support the development and implementation of analysis, collection, and core enabling function strategies. Coordinate governance, documentation, and meetings to enhance analysis, collection, and core activities that meet priorities and close gaps. Aid in the preparation, production, and coordination of written products and documents for stakeholders as needed. Must be an adept multi-tasker who can juggle multiple priorities, provide outstanding service to our customers, work closely with team members and ensure that together, they achieve an outstanding outcome. 

Responsible for aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those tasks.

  • Take assigned tasks from original concept through final implementation.
  • Interface with all areas affected by the project appropriate stakeholders such as end users, computer services, and client services.
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports as requested.
  • Conduct project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables accordingly.
  • Provide project management subject matter expertise to client team.
  • Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and five years of working experience with project planning is required.
  • PMP Certification highly desired.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Able to lead or support various tasks and work closely with management, users and team members to accomplish tasks.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Windows Exp, Microsoft Access, and the Internet.  
  • Must be a self-starter and have the interpersonal skills to work with both government employees and other DOC contractors.
  • Must be qualified to meet the requirements of a full background investigation to obtain a security clearance.
